"... And I did cartwheels in your honour
Dancing on tiptoes
My own secret ceremonials
Before the service began
In the graveyard doing handstands."
- Florence + The Machine
// I cried after I made this. It has long been time to create and give birth to a new era in my work - one that I've been so afraid about transitioning into. I don't quite have the words at this point because I'm still processing my emotions about the finished piece after just shooting this morning - but I feel lighter because my personal work is finally starting to reflect all of the ways that my spirit has been healing. I've been stuck for a while when it came to anything outside of work for my clients.
It's pretty liberating to finally be on the other side of that.
I cannot wait to see what comes from the rest of this shoot. Thank you, Sara, for always museing it up so well - and for being willing to switch gears when this dress climbed up into driver's seat of my brain. And thank you, Alice, for being such an amazing wizard who creates the most magical dresses I have ever seen.
